As we reflect on our lives and the changes that have occurred during 2008, we think of family, friends and loved ones. We reflect on the joys, heartache and all the things that make us who we are and helped get us to where we are in today.
The closing of one year and the birth of another always makes us stop to think on how to better our lives for the next year. Many call this a "New Years Resolution". Some call it a "New Commitment". Whatever you call it, it's an opportunity to take stock, a time that you can think about improving yourself and your circumstances.
Make your resolution, your commitment and when you do, keep focused on those goals and not your risks. Have faith that you can stay focused on what you want, as opposed to what you can lose. Staying focused is hard and can be challenging. That's why it's important to avoid those who bring you down, surround yourself with those who are positive and together, as a team, we can create a better New Year. And, a better new you!
No matter what the circumstances, you have a choice. Make your choice and stick with it.
Make a choice, a commitment, to help just 1 person a week. What better way to help yourself and your family but to help others as well. How exciting is that? That's what it's really all about...
May you find yourself blessed and healthy always.
Make this year memorable...
A few suggestions:
To your enemy, forgiveness.
To an opponent, tolerance.
To a friend, your heart.
To a customer, service.
To all, charity.
To every child, a good example.
To yourself, respect.
